Rogue Valley, Oregon, calls itself a sanctuary to distinguish it from the rest of the epic shitshow that’s the better part of the Pacific Northwest these days—or, hell, the whole world—but that’s bullshit.

It’s an uneasy crossroads. If that.

The valley is full of bad bargains and dangerous temptations, vampire nights and werewolf moons, tangled together in a pretty little valley covered in vineyards, orchards, mountains, blood and prey and sorcery.

Welcome to the southernmost part of western Oregon, where it’s rainy all winter, smoky all summer, and the monsters are everywhere thanks to the Reveal three years ago.

One day everything seemed normal and the next, guess what? Everything that goes bump in the night stopped bumping and started trying to kill you. Right there in broad daylight, assuming the sun doesn’t turn them to ash, and all night long just because they can. If you’re thinking you’d rather not know what your nightmares look like, tough.

Welcome to the brave new world, cupcake.

Humans are snacks and everything else is… hungry.

Three years into the end of the world, the beings who live here have come to an uneasy sort of truce. Or anyway, they’re mostly alive—and it’s better not to look too closely into the shadows if you want to keep it that way.

But there is a new, dark power on the rise in this valley that’s held together by bargains and mutually-assured destruction between the unpredictable head of the werewolf pack, a sorceress with a lifelong grudge against the rest of her kind, and the oldest known vampire in existence, who doesn’t like to be called what he is. A king.

And if the death goddess has her way, the earth will be hers… to feed from as she pleases and cast into darkness. Forever.

Unless, that is, the three great powers in the valley and some other beings of note get together and fight her off…
